A few months ago, I was given the opportunity to create a custom grimoire inspired by Fae Nectar, a Celtic tavern nestled in Lake Lure, North Carolina.
We first discovered Fae Nectar through mutual friends and glowing recommendations. It did not take long for the tavern to become one of my favorite places—a rare space that feels as though it belongs to another world entirely.
When Hurricane Helene devastated parts of Western North Carolina, Fae Nectar was among the many businesses affected. This grimoire was created as a gesture of gratitude for everyone who contributed their time, resources, and support during the recovery efforts.
After years of rebuilding, Fae Nectar has finally returned to where it was always meant to be.
The grimoire itself is fully leather-bound and features foil detailing, sewn signatures, a ribbon bookmark with a decorative charm, metal corner protectors, and a collection of original paintings created specifically for this piece.
A commission of this scale and complexity would typically be valued at over $800 (due to the fact that it includes original art pieces.)
